IOB Apprentice Admit Card 2026 – Remote Proctored Online Exam

The Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) has released the admit card / e-call letter notice for the Apprentice engagement 2026-27. The remote proctored online examination is scheduled (tentatively) on 02 August 2026. The admit card notice was released on 30 July 2026.

Exam Pattern (Online Written Examination – Objective Type)

Duration: 90 minutes | Minimum aggregate percentage as decided by the Bank (5% relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD); no minimum qualifying marks for individual subjects. In case of tie, the candidate senior by age is ranked higher.

Selection Procedure

1. Online Written Examination (remote proctored, 100 Qs / 100 marks / 90 min)
2. Test of Local Language – proficiency in the local language of the applied state (candidates with 10th/12th mark sheet evidencing study of the language are exempted)
3. Document Verification / Personal Interaction
4. Medical Examination

How to Download Admit Card

1. Visit the IOB website: iob.bank.in or the exam portal
2. Read the admit card / remote proctored exam notification carefully
3. Login with your registration details to download the e-call letter
4. Take a printed copy to the exam along with a valid photo ID proof

• Apprenticeship Duration: One year contract period under the Apprentices Act, 1961
• Nature of Engagement: Apprentices are NOT treated as employees of IOB and are not entitled to employee benefits
• Leave: 1 day casual leave per month (12 days/year), max 4 days at a time; absence beyond entitled leave is treated as Leave Without Pay
• No Employment Guarantee: The Bank has no obligation to offer regular employment after the apprenticeship period
• Ineligibility: Candidates who previously underwent apprenticeship with IOB or any other organization, or have 1+ year of training/job experience after graduation, are NOT eligible
• Stipend (NATS candidates): Metro Rs.9,350; Urban Rs.8,350; Semi-Urban/Rural Rs.7,850 per month (after Govt subsidy deduction); Government share of Rs.6,150 credited directly via DBT
• Apprenticeship Certificate: Issued after a final assessment test based on marks obtained
• EWS Income Limit: Family gross annual income below Rs.8.00 lakh; certain property/land holdings disqualify EWS status
• OBC Certificate: Non-Creamy Layer certificate must be issued on or after 01.04.2026
• Jurisdiction: Disputes subject to the sole jurisdiction of courts at Chennai
