Digital India Corporation (DIC), set up by the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India, invites applications for the post of Junior Backend Developer for the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) project on a purely Contract/Consolidated basis. Vacancy Details

Place of Posting: Noida or New Delhi (transferable to project locations of DIC as per policy).

Educational Qualification

B.E. / B.Tech. / MCA or any Equivalent Degree with excellent analytical and software development skills.

Key Requirements

• Experience Criteria: Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience writing Python jobs for large-scale data processing
• Framework Expertise: At least 3 years of experience working with PHP and PHP-based frameworks
• Cloud Infrastructure: More than 1 year of experience utilizing AWS components within container-based applications
• Agile Methodology: Solid knowledge and understanding of Scrum and Agile Development practices
• Strong ownership, responsibility, leadership, multitasking and time-management skills

Knowledge & Experience

• 4+ years of professional experience in the IT Industry with comprehensive hands-on coding expertise
• Excellent proficiency in PHP, Python Scripting, and NoSQL databases
• Hands-on technical experience with the AWS cloud stack (S3, EC2, ECS and related core services)
• Robust database programming skills using various flavors of both NoSQL and SQL databases
• Thorough exposure across all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including automated testing and continuous deployment

Core Responsibilities

• Develop highly restful, scalable APIs and deploy robust microservices onto the AWS ecosystem
• Architect and write optimized Python-based backend scripts for processing large volumes of data
• Continuously maintain, review, and optimize code quality for long-term application scalability and performance
• Successfully manage, mentor, and lead a technical team of at least 2 developers

Consolidated Remuneration

Commensurate with qualifications and experience within the approved project norms.
