Defence Scientific Information & Documentation Centre (DESIDOC), under the aegis of Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, invites applications for engagement of Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for ONE YEAR apprenticeship training for the Financial Year 2026-2027.
Total Positions: 16 (Library & Information Science Apprentice)
One-year apprenticeship at DESIDOC, Metcalfe House, Delhi.
Monthly Stipend:
- Rs.12,300 per month (Graduation level)
- Rs.10,900 per month (Diploma/ITI level)
Educational Qualification:
Graduation + Degree in Library & Information Science (One Year) from a recognized University/Institute.
Important Conditions:
- Only candidates passed in 2024 or 2025 are eligible
- Postgraduate candidates are NOT eligible
- Candidates with 1 year or more job/training experience are NOT eligible
- Must have valid NATS registration (www.mhrdnats.gov.in or nats.education.gov.in)
Age Limit: Maximum 28 years as on date of written test/interview
Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (as per Central Govt rules)

Important Notes:
- Training duration: 12 months (FY 2026-2027)
