Defence Scientific Information & Documentation Centre (DESIDOC), under the aegis of Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, invites applications for engagement of Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for ONE YEAR apprenticeship training for the Financial Year 2026-2027.
Total Positions: 2 (Computer Science Apprentice)
One-year apprenticeship at DESIDOC, Metcalfe House, Delhi.
Monthly Stipend:
- Rs.12,300 per month (B.E./B.Tech level)
- Rs.10,900 per month (Diploma level)
Educational Qualification:
B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science OR Three Years Diploma in Computer Science from a recognized University/Institute.
Important Conditions:
- Only candidates passed in 2024 or 2025 are eligible
- Postgraduate candidates are NOT eligible
- Candidates with 1 year or more job/training experience are NOT eligible
- Must have valid NATS registration (www.mhrdnats.gov.in or nats.education.gov.in)
Age Limit: Maximum 28 years as on date of written test/interview
Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (as per Central Govt rules)

1. Shortlisting based on merit (percentage/marks of essential qualification)
2. Written Test and/or Interview
3. Document Verification

2. Download application form from www.drdo.gov.in (What's New section)
3. Fill the form with self-attested photocopies of all relevant documents
4. Submit by post or by hand to:

5. Superscribe the envelope with the discipline name: "Computer Science"
6. Last Date: Within 21 days from the date of advertisement on DRDO website (approx 1 July 2026)
Important Notes:
- Training duration: 12 months (FY 2026-2027)
- No guarantee of permanent employment after training
- No TA/DA will be paid for written test/interview
- Number of positions may increase/decrease depending on organisational requirements
