Lok Nayak Hospital (LNH), New Delhi, has released a walk-in interview notification (No. F.No.17773 (Part-I)/SR interview/E-I/LNH/2026, dated 22.07.2026) for the recruitment of Senior Residents (SR) on ad-hoc basis (44 days) across 15 departments. Eligible Indian Nationals may appear for the walk-in interview.

Educational Qualification

• MBBS with Post Graduate Degree/DNB/Diploma or Post Doctoral Degree (or equivalent) in the concerned specialty from an NMC/MCI recognized university/institute
• Preferably valid DMC registration for the concerned specialty/super-specialty
• The tenure of PG Degree/DNB/Diploma must be completed and result declared before the date of interview

Non-PG Candidates: If an applicant does not hold the above qualification, they will be treated as a Non-PG Senior Resident and may be appointed for 44 days or till these posts are filled with a suitable PG-qualified candidate.

Age Limit

Not more than 45 years as on 01.07.2026.

Age Relaxation

As per circular No. F.No.121/26/2010/H&FW/1996-2045 dated 10.06.2011 issued by H&FW Department, GNCTD:

• In specialties with perpetual shortage of fresh candidates, candidates who have completed 3 years of SR but willing to continue may also appear
• Separate merit lists will be prepared — fresh candidates first, then those who completed 3 years
• Appointments from the second list will be for a maximum of one year only, not renewable

Salary / Emoluments

7th CPC Pay Matrix Level-11 (Rs. 67,700 - Rs. 2,08,700) plus other usual allowances as admissible per month.

Tenure

• Initially for 44 days (maximum 3 years including any service already rendered as SR on ad-hoc/regular basis in any NMC-recognized institution)
• Or till a regular SR joins — whichever is earlier
• As per Residency Scheme of GOI dated 5th June 1992
• No NOC will be issued before completing at least 44 days of continuous service

Application Fee

No fee for appearing in the interview.

How to Apply

1. Download the prescribed application form for the post of Senior Resident on ad-hoc basis
2. Fill in personal details, academic qualifications, experience, etc.
3. Affix a latest passport-size photograph on white background, attested by HoD of concerned department
4. Attach original and self-attested photocopies of all required documents
5. Submit in person at E-I Branch, Lok Nayak Hospital between 27 July 2026 to 30 July 2026 (10:00 AM - 3:00 PM)
6. Appear for walk-in interview on the scheduled date as per department

• Copy of DMC registration with PG Degree / Acknowledgement with PG Degree
• Copy of Caste Certificate (if applicable)
• Copy of PH Certificate (if applicable)
• Copy of Aadhar Card
• Copy of Date of Birth Certificate
• Copy of attempt certificate of MBBS (number of attempts)
• Copy of attempt certificate of PG Degree/DNB/Diploma
• Copies of Publications (if any)
• Copy of MBBS & PG Degree
• 2 passport-size photographs on white background, attested by HoD
• NOC from present employer (if already in Govt service)

Selection Process

• Selection through Walk-in Interview only
• No waiting list — only a rank list will be prepared, valid till next interview notice
• If applications are very high, interview may continue on next working day (informed verbally)

Important Instructions

• No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview
• Selected candidates must join within 10 days of offer letter, failing which offer stands cancelled
• Provisional joining allowed if DMC registration is not yet available; must produce DMC within one month
• Selected candidates can be posted anywhere in patient care/public interest during emergency
• Competent Authority reserves the right to amend/cancel the interview
• Jurisdiction of disputes: Delhi/New Delhi only
