General Terms

Selection Process

- Competitive Written Examination: OMR/CBT based, objective type, bilingual (English/Hindi except English language questions)
Written Examination Pattern
- Paper-I (1 hour): Mental Ability Test — 50 questions, 100 marks (2 marks each), No negative marking
- Paper-II (30 minutes): General Awareness (25 Q, 75 marks) + English Language (25 Q, 75 marks); 1 negative mark per wrong answer
- Paper-III (1 hour): Concerned Subject — 50 questions, 150 marks (3 marks each); 1 negative mark per wrong answer
- Paper-II and III evaluated only for candidates qualifying Paper-I threshold
- Final merit based on Paper-II and Paper-III marks only

Essential Qualification
SSC/10th Standard or equivalent with Science subjects, minimum 55% marks, and ITI certificate or national/state trade certificate in FITTER from a recognized institution. Or SSC/10th with 55% marks + 2 years full-time apprentice trainee experience in FITTER. Or SSC/10th with 55% marks + 3 years work experience in FITTER in a Ministry/Department/Organization/PSU/Autonomous Body under Government of India/State/UT.
Desirable Experience
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics; Proficiency in fitting, assembling, and maintaining mechanical parts and systems; Knowledge of tools and machinery (drills, tap, hacksaw etc.); Interpret blueprints and technical drawings; Basic knowledge of computer system and AutoCAD software; Team work ability; Ability to perform hard work in physically demanding conditions during field trials.
