UPSSSC Forensic Science Laboratory Recruitment 2026 – Advt No. 15-Exam/2026

The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC), Lucknow has invited online applications for the posts of Scientific Assistant (Vaigyanik Sahayak) and Lab Assistant (Prayogshala Sahayak) in the Office of Forensic Science Laboratory, Uttar Pradesh. Total 208 vacancies.

Educational Qualification

• B.Sc. in relevant subject (Biology/Physics/Chemistry/Computer Science) with relevant specialization from a recognized university
• OR B.Tech in relevant engineering field from a recognized university/institution
• OR 'A' level diploma from NIELIT (for Computer Science domain)
• Preferential: M.Sc. in relevant subject, higher qualification in Computer Science, 2 years service in Territorial Army, or NCC 'B' Certificate

Age Limit (as on 1st July 2026)

Minimum: 21 years | Maximum: 40 years (age relaxation as per UP Govt rules for SC/ST/OBC/etc.)

Pay Scale

Scientific Assistant: Pay Level 6 – Rs.35,400 – Rs.1,12,400

Lab Assistant: Pay Level 4 – Rs.25,500 – Rs.81,100

Application Fee

Rs.25 (Online Processing Fee) for all categories (UR/OBC/SC/ST)

Eligibility Requirement

Candidates must have appeared in UPSSSC PET-2025 and obtained a score card. Those with zero or negative normalized scores will not be shortlisted.

Selection Process

1. Shortlisting for Main Exam – Based on PET-2025 normalized scores (up to 15x category-wise vacancies)
2. Written Main Examination – 100 objective-type questions, 2 hours, 100 marks. Negative marking: 0.25 marks per wrong answer.
   • Part 1: Physics (10), Chemistry (10), Biology (10), Mathematics (10), Forensic Science (25) = 65 marks
   • Part 2: Computer & IT = 15 marks
   • Part 3: General Knowledge of Uttar Pradesh = 20 marks
3. No Interview – Selection based solely on written exam merit + document verification

3. Verify auto-populated personal details
4. Select post(s) and fill educational qualifications
5. Pay Rs.25 fee via Credit/Debit Card/Net Banking/UPI or SBI e-Challan
6. Download and print application form after auto-submission
