The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) invites online applications for recruitment to the posts of Principal (124 vacancies) and Vice Principal (704 vacancies) in the Education Department, Government of NCT of Delhi. Total 828 vacancies.

PwBD reservation: 7 vacancies for Principal, 28 for Vice Principal.

Educational Qualification

Principal & Vice Principal:

• Master's Degree from a recognized University/Institute
• Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from a recognized university/institute

Experience:

• Principal: 10 years experience of teaching as Vice Principal/PGT/TGT in a recognized High School/Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary School/Intermediate College
• Vice Principal: 2 years experience as PGT OR 3 years experience as TGT

Desirable: Doctorate degree; experience of administrative charge of a recognized school.

Age Limit

PwBD: Further relaxable up to 10 years (max 56 years).

Pay Scale

Principal: Level 12 in Pay Matrix (7th CPC) — Approx Rs.78,800 – Rs.2,09,200

Vice Principal: Level 10 in Pay Matrix (7th CPC) — Approx Rs.56,100 – Rs.1,77,500

Selection Process

1. Combined Recruitment Test (CRT) – Pen & Paper based, Objective Type, 300 marks, 2 hours duration. Multiple choice with negative marking (1/3rd mark deduction per wrong answer).
2. Interview/Personality Test – 100 marks
3. Final Merit – Weightage: CRT 75% + Interview 25%

CRT Syllabus: General Knowledge, Hindi & English language skills, Reasoning & Quantitative Aptitude, Educational Policies & Measurement, Management & Financial Administration, Office Procedure, Pedagogy, Digital Literacy.

Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Chennai, Delhi, Dispur (Guwahati), Jaipur, Jammu, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Port Blair, Ranchi, Visakhapatnam.
