Online applications are invited from eligible Indian nationals for recruitment of Geologists and Engineers at E1 Level through Computer Based Test (CBT). Total Vacancies: 52

• Petroleum Engineering: 09 (UR-4, OBC-2, SC-2, EWS-1)


• Mechanical Engineering: 27 (UR-12, OBC-6, SC-5, ST-1, EWS-3)


• Chemical Engineering: 10 (UR-4, OBC-4, SC-1, EWS-1)


• Instrumentation Engineering: 02 (UR-2)


• Geology: 04 (UR-2, SC-1, ST-1)

Pay Scale:

• Basic Pay: Rs.60,000 – Rs.1,80,000 (E1 Level)


• Approx CTC: Rs.26 Lakhs per annum


• Allowances: 35% of Basic Pay under Cafeteria Approach, DA, HRA/Company Accommodation, CPF, PRP, Medical Facility, Gratuity & other benefits as per Company rules

Essential Qualification:

• Petroleum Engineering: Graduate Degree in Petroleum Engineering / Applied Petroleum Engineering with min 60% marks


• Mechanical Engineering: Graduate Degree in Mechanical Engineering with min 60% marks


• Chemical Engineering: Graduate Degree in Chemical Engineering with min 60% marks


• Instrumentation Engineering: Graduate Degree in Instrumentation Engineering with min 60% marks


• Geology: M.Sc / M.Tech in Geology / Petroleum Geoscience / Geological Technology with min 60% marks

Age Limit (as on 31.07.2026):

• Engineering Streams: UR/EWS – 26 yrs, OBC(NCL) – 29 yrs, SC/ST – 31 yrs


• Geology Stream: UR/EWS – 27 yrs, OBC(NCL) – 30 yrs, SC/ST – 32 yrs


• PwBD Relaxation: +10 yrs (UR/EWS), +13 yrs (OBC-NCL), +15 yrs (SC/ST)


• Departmental Candidates: Age relaxation to the extent of service rendered in ONGC

Selection Process:

• Stage 1: Computer Based Test (CBT) – 85 MCQs, 2 Hours, No Negative Marking


• Stage 2: Personal Interview – 15 Marks


• Stage 3: Medical Fitness Examination

• Part I – Concerned Domain: 40 Questions


• Part II – General Awareness: 10 Questions


• Part III – Aptitude Test: 25 Questions


• Part IV – English Language: 10 Questions
