The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, intends to fill up one post of Deputy Director (Official Language) at Level-11 of the Pay Matrix on deputation basis (initially for a period of one year, extendable as per Government instructions). Eligibility – Officers from Central Government or State Governments or UTs or PSUs
- Holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre or Department OR with 5 years regular service in Level-10 in the Pay Matrix (Rs.56,100-1,77,500)
- Possessing the educational qualifications and experience for direct recruits as follows:
Educational Qualification (any one)
- Master degree from a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level
- Master degree from a recognized University in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level
- Master degree in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level
- Master degree in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level
- Master degree in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects or either of the two as a medium of examination and the other as a compulsory or elective subject at the degree level
Experience (any one)
- Five years experience of using or applying terminology (terminological work) in Hindi and translation work from English to Hindi or vice-versa, preferably of technical or scientific literature under Central/State Government or Autonomous/Statutory Organizations or PSUs or Universities or recognized research/educational institutions
- Five years experience of teaching in Hindi and English or research in Hindi or English under the above-mentioned institutions
Desirable
Studied one of the languages other than Hindi included in the 8th Schedule of the Constitution at 10th level from a recognised Board.
Important Conditions
- Maximum age limit: Not exceeding 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.
- Period of deputation including period of deputation in another ex-cadre post shall ordinarily not exceed four years.
- Qualifications relaxable at the discretion of the Competent Authority for otherwise well-qualified candidates.
- Experience relaxable for SC/ST candidates in case sufficient candidates are not available.
How to Apply
Applications of eligible and willing persons who can be spared immediately may be forwarded through proper channel in the prescribed format (Annexure-II) to the Deputy Secretary (Pers.), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Electronics Niketan, 6, CGO Complex, New Delhi – 110003 on or before 60 days from the date of publishing the advertisement in the Employment News.
- Applications must be accompanied by photocopies of ACRs/APARs for the last five years duly attested by an officer not below the rank of Under Secretary or equivalent.
- While forwarding, the employer must certify correctness of particulars and that no disciplinary/vigilance case is pending or contemplated, and certify integrity of the officer.
- Incomplete applications or those without ACRs will not be entertained. Only fresh applications through proper channel will be considered.
