Indian Army JAG Entry Scheme 125th Course (April 2027)
The Indian Army invites applications from unmarried Male and Female Law Graduates for the Judge Advocate General (JAG) Entry Scheme 125th Course commencing in April 2027 under Short Service Commission (NT).
Vacancies: 10 (Men & Women Combined)
Salary:
- Training Stipend: Rs. 56,100 per month
- After Commission (Lieutenant): CTC approx Rs. 17-18 Lakh per annum (Level 10 Pay Matrix)
- Includes DA, HRA, Medical cover, Travel to hometown once a year
Qualification:
- LLB Degree with minimum 55% aggregate marks (3-year course after graduation OR 5-year course after 10+2)
- Must have appeared for CLAT PG 2026 exam (conducted in December 2025)
- Must be eligible for registration as an advocate with Bar Council of India/State
Age Limit: 21 to 27 years as on 01 Jan 2027 (born between 02 Jan 2000 and 01 Jan 2006)
Application Fee: NIL (No fee for all categories)
Selection Process:
- Shortlisting based on CLAT PG 2026 score
- SSB Interview (5 days) in Nov/Dec 2026
- Medical Examination
- Merit List
Training: 49 weeks at Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai commencing April 2027
Commission Type: Short Service Commission (SSC) for 14 years
- Option for Permanent Commission after 10 years
- Option for release after 5/10/14 years
