Basis of Filling: Deputation/Absorption in the Department of Posts; failing which Deputation/Absorption in other Ministries or Deputation/re-employment of Armed Forces personnel.

For Department of Posts employees: Regular Dispatch Riders (Group-C) and MTS (Group-C) in the Pay Matrix Level-1 (Rs.18,000-56,900) who possess valid Driving License for driving Light and Heavy Motor vehicles (competence assessed through driving test).
For employees of other Central Government Ministries: Officials holding the post of Dispatch Riders on regular basis or regular Group-C employees in the Pay Matrix Level-1 (Rs.18,000-56,900) who fulfill the following qualifications:
- Possession of valid Driving License for driving Light and Heavy Motor vehicles
- Knowledge of Motor Mechanism (ability to remove minor defects in vehicles)
- Experience of driving Light and Heavy Motor vehicles for at least three years
- Pass in 10th standard from a recognized Board or Institute
Desirable: Three years service as Home Guard or Civil Volunteers.
Armed Forces Personnel: Personnel due to retire or to be transferred to reserve within one year and having the requisite experience and qualifications shall also be considered.

Age Limit: Maximum 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications. Period of Deputation: Not exceeding three years. Reservation: No provisions for SC/ST (posts filled on deputation/absorption basis).

Department of Posts (India Post), Ministry of Communications has notified recruitment for 11 vacancies of Staff Car Driver (Ordinary Grade) (General Central Services, Gr-C, Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial) in Pay Level-2 (Rs.19,900 - Rs.63,200 as per 7th CPC) + Admissible Allowances at the Office of the Manager, Mail Motor Service (MMS), Bengaluru on deputation/absorption basis. Serving eligible Government employees only.

Pay: Pay Level-2 Rs.19,900 - Rs.63,200 + Admissible Allowances (7th CPC Pay Matrix)
Basis: Deputation/Absorption in Department of Posts; failing which Deputation/Absorption in other Ministries; or Deputation/re-employment of Armed Forces personnel
Eligibility: Regular Dispatch Riders (Group-C) and MTS (Group-C) in Pay Matrix Level-1 (Rs.18,000 - Rs.56,900) with valid Driving License for Light & Heavy Motor vehicles, OR regular Group-C employees in Level-1 in other Ministries fulfilling essential qualifications
Essential Qualification: 10th pass; valid Driving License for LMV/HMV; knowledge of Motor Mechanism; minimum 3 years driving experience of LMV/HMV
Desirable: Three years service as Home Guard or Civil Volunteers
