Note: The above vacancies include vacancies for PwD & Ex-Servicemen. Reservation for Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan) as per Govt. of India norms. Vacancies are provisional and may increase or decrease as per actual requirement for teaching and patient care.
Eligibility Criteria (as on date of Interview)
- Educational Qualification: As per National Medical Commission (NMC, erstwhile MCI) guidelines dated 30.06.2025 for the respective post in the concerned specialty.
- Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor: Not exceeding 69 years.
- Senior Resident: Not exceeding 45 years; 50 years for Department of Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Pathology, Forensic Medicine and Community Medicine.
- Age relaxation as per prevailing norms of Govt. of India (GOI).
- Candidates must have up-to-date Medical Registration (NMC / State Medical Council) with all post MBBS/MD/MS qualification(s).
Pay and Allowances (Consolidated Remuneration)

In case of engagement of retired employees/pensioners, they may be allowed to draw total pay without any deduction (not a case of re-employment as per CCS (Fixation of Pay of Re-employed Pensioner) Orders 1986).

- SC/ST/Female Candidates, Defence Ex-Servicemen & PH Candidates: NIL
- All Other Categories: Rs. 500/-
- Mode: Demand Draft in favour of "ESIC Saving Fund A/c No.-2", payable at Namkum, submitted along with the application form. Fees once paid will not be refunded.

- Selection will be made on the basis of the acquired academic credentials and performance in the interview before the Selection Board.

How to Apply
- Application should be submitted in the prescribed format only (Format of Application given in the Advertisement No. 05 of 2026), filled with black/blue ball pen in BLOCK LETTERS.
- Submit by Speed Post / by Hand, or preferably by Email (scanned copy) to dean-ranchi.jh@esic.gov.in, so as to reach the office by 09-08-2026.
- Application should be submitted for each post separately. Incomplete applications or those in any other format will be summarily rejected.
- Attach self-attested copies of: Class-X Marksheet/Certificate, MBBS & MD/MS/DNB Marksheets and Degree Certificates, valid EWS/OBC/SC/ST/PwD Certificate, recent passport size photograph, State/NMC Medical Registration Certificate, proof of publication(s), experience certificates, ICMR/NMC Bio-medical research completion certificate (if any), NMC Basic Medical Education Workshop certificate (if any), Relieving/NOC certificate (if applicable), Aadhaar & PAN Card, and Demand Draft (if applicable).
- No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview.
Contract Terms
- Tenure: 01 year (extendable every year up to a maximum of 3 years, subject to satisfactory performance) or till joining of the regular incumbent. Maximum tenure till attainment of 70 years of age.
- Leave: Paid leave @ 2.5 days per completed month of work (Earned Leave nature, no leave encashment).
- Security Deposit: Rs. 30,000/- (DD in favour of "ESIC Saving Fund Account No.2", payable at Namkum) at the time of joining, refundable after successful completion of contract and No Dues Certificate.
- No claim for service benefits like PF, Pension, Gratuity, Medical Allowance, Medical Benefits, Seniority, Promotion, TA/DA etc.
- Private practice of any kind strictly prohibited; no accommodation provided.
- Contract may be terminated from either side with one month's prior notice.
