NFR Act Apprentice Recruitment 2026 - 6777 Training Slots

Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has released a centralized notification (No. NFR/NAPS/ACT APP./2026) for engagement of 6777 Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act 1961 for training cycles 2025-2026 & 2026-2027.

• Lumding (LMG): 1274 slots
• New Bongaigaon Workshop (NBQS) & EWS: 881 slots
• Tinsukia (TSK): 860 slots
• Dibrugarh Workshop (DBWS): 763 slots
• Rangiya (RNY): 750 slots
• Alipurduar (APDJ): 651 slots
• Headquarter/Maligaon: 495 slots

Eligibility

• Qualification: Passed Matriculation (Class 10) with minimum 50% aggregate marks (relaxed for SC/ST/PwBD) + NCVT/SCVT ITI certificate in notified trade
• Medical Lab Technician: 12th pass with Physics, Chemistry & Biology (50% marks in both 10th & 12th)
• Age Limit: 15 to 24 years as on 19.08.2026 (relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ex-SM)

Fitter, Electrician, Wireman, Lineman, Welder (Gas & Electric), Turner, Machinist, Carpenter, Plumber, Mason, Mechanic Diesel, Mechanic Refrigeration & AC, Mechanic Electrical Instruments, COPA, Draughtsman (Civil), Surveyor, Secretarial Assistant, Health Sanitary Inspector, Medical Lab Technician, and more.

Stipend

• 1st Year: Rs. 9,600/- per month
• 2nd Year (if applicable): Rs. 10,560/- per month
• 3rd Year (if applicable): Rs. 11,040/- per month

Application Fee

• General/OBC/EWS (Male): Rs. 100/-
• SC/ST/PwBD/EBC/Women: Nil

Selection Process

Merit-based (no written exam). Merit list based on average of Matriculation percentage + ITI marks. Shortlisting at 1.5x notified vacancies for Document Verification.
