Mode of Recruitment: Deputation (including Short Term Contract) / Absorption / Re-employment
Eligibility (Deputation): Candidates already serving in Central/State Government, Defence or Paramilitary forces with relevant aviation experience. Specific criteria per post:
- Senior Flight Engineer/Gunner: Holding analogous post OR 5 yrs in Level-6; 1000 total flying hrs (min 250 on MI-17); medically fit
- Junior Flight Engineer/Gunner: Holding analogous post OR 6 yrs in Level-5; 500 total flying hrs (min 100 on MI-17); medically fit
- Assistant Aircraft/Radio Mechanic: Holding analogous post OR 5 yrs in Level-4; 3-yr Diploma in relevant trade (DGCA) or IAF Group X Diploma; preferably 2 yrs aviation experience
- Constable (Maintenance): As per BSF recruitment rules
Age Limit: Maximum 52 years (for deputation) as on date of receipt of application
Pay Scale: Pay Matrix Level-3 (Rs.21,700-69,100) to Level-7 (Rs.35,400-1,12,400) as per 7th CPC
Advertisement Duration: Open for one year from date of publication in Employment News (20-27 June 2026 issue) subject to availability of vacancies. Applications received within 30 days of publication will be considered in the first lot.
