About CSIR-IPU

Innovation Protection Unit (IPU) of CSIR Head Quarters is engaged in securing Intellectual Property for CSIR. Since inception, CSIR has filed more than 12,000 Patent Applications in India and 11,000 Patent Applications abroad including PCT, USA, Europe, China, Japan, Australia, Canada, South Africa, South Korea etc.

General Terms

• Nature: Purely temporary, time-bound, contractual engagement
• Initial Tenure: Up to 31st March 2027 (extendable up to 31st March 2031 based on project extension)
• Venue: CSIR-IPU, 3rd Floor, Vigyan Suchana Bhavan, 14, Satsang Vihar Marg, New Delhi – 110067
• Nearest Metro: Hauz Khas or Munirka
• Reporting Time: 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM (candidates will not be entertained after 10:30 AM)
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview
• Relaxation in age: 5 years for SC/ST/PwBD/Women, 3 years for OBC

Essential Qualification

Masters in Physics + 3 years R&D experience OR Doctoral Degree in Physics + 2 years R&D experience in Industrial/Academic Institutions or S&T Organizations

Desirable Qualification

PGDIPR (Post Graduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Rights) or Patent Agent qualification
